What is Jesmond Joeys?
Jesmond Joeys is our Kindergarten transition program for children starting school the following year. It is run every Thursday afternoon in Term 3 and Term 4.
- Become familiar with classrooms, teachers and school routines
- Build confidence and independence in a school setting
- Make new friends and begin building connections with other children before Kindergarten starts
- Develop early learning, communication and social skills
- Explore learning through play-based and hands-on experiences
- Feel safe, known and excited to begin their school journey alongside familiar faces
