BE KIND WORK HARD HAVE FUN!
Students in Kindergarten have had a wonderful start to the school year! We are learning what school is all about and following our PBL school expectations by being Safe, Respectful Learners every day.
Kindergarten will follow the L3 Program (Language, Learning and Literacy). This literacy program focuses on:
- providing rich experiences to assist all children to become successful readers and writers.
- teaching students in small groups of three to four students in short explicit lessons.
- fostering independence through activities to extend their literacy learning such as fine motor skills, cutting, handwriting, sounds and technology. Kindergarten will also complete the Jolly Phonics program to learn sounds.
In Mathematics:
- students will learn new mathematical concepts through hands on experiences.
- your child will develop skills in exploring mathematical thinking and learn to work independently to solve mathematical problems.
Our Library day is Wednesday, so please make sure you pack a library bag, otherwise there is no borrowing.
Sport is on Friday's, so ensure your child wears their sports uniform and joggers.
Mrs Morante is the class teacher on Thursday’s while I work in the office.
