At Jesmond Public School every student has the opportunity to be valued, respected and nurtured.
Jesmond Public School has ten classes.
English as an additional language or dialect
Our school runs wonderful programs for students where English is their second language (ESL).
Our school has a long history of international families and newly arrived families settling into the community, enriching the calibre of our diverse population.
As a school, we have currently two full-time English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EALD) teachers and two part-time EALD teachers that provide specialist English language support programs for over 100 EALD students. Jesmond Public School, in line with the Department Of Education, is committed to providing quality learning programs to address the additional learning needs of students from EALD backgrounds.
