Good morning Jesmond PS community,
We hope you are safe and well. The staff and I miss everyone! I hope learning from home is working. Please contact the school if you have any concerns or issues. Staff are ringing families very regularly to offer assistance and support.
Each day we are attending school and our learning environment is rapidly changing. The staff are working so hard to keep the learning engaging and ensuring every child and family is known, cared for and valued.
Updates:
On Monday we are requesting you come to school (during staggered times) to collect your Home Learning and Wellbeing Packs for Week 11, Term 1. Learning units are also online at the Jesmond Public School website. Please click Learning at Our School then click Learning from Home.
Staggered times will be implemented:
Kindergarten work collection 8:30 - 9:00am
Years 1 /2 work collection 9:30 - 10:00am
Years 3/4 work collection 10:30 - 11:00am
Years 5/6 work collection 12:00 - 12:30 pm
If you have more than one child in various classes please note you only need to come to the school at one time to collect every child’s unit pack.
Strict social distancing measures will be applied on the day to ensure the safety of our staff and all of our community.
Our School is trying to move to an online structure for all students and teachers therefore we have been surveying families to see who may need to loan a computer from school. Survey responses have indicated that at least 33 families do not have a device at home. As our first priority we have allocated each one of these families a laptop. These will be distributed on Monday. We are working closely with the Department of Education to allocate 4G dongles to those students who have no or limited internet access. We will continue to loan devices as they become available to all families in our school.
